Video: Delivering food to vulnerable students during the pandemic

The Hope Co-op was formed in 2014, as a response to the lack of access to education for those with asylum seeker background. The grass roots Coop has worked in collaboration with others, to make a difference. They have created opportunities, deliver tertiary courses up to PHD level. The lockdown has made this extremely difficult. Hope has refocused and members have turned to helping other vulnerable students lacking assistance, by delivering food. This has set an incredible example for the whole of Australia.

The Hope Co-op is a member of Earthworker, which “brings together people on common ground for direct action to solve the social and environmental problems faced by local communities and the planet.”
