A caravan of taxis shut down the Brooklyn Bridge and the Queensboro Bridge on Thursday afternoon, leading to local traffic warnings.

The latest in a string of protests, the group of drivers, organized by the N.Y. Taxi Workers Association, is asking for debt relief due to lost income amid the pandemic.

  1. Yes! I support these taxi drivers. Block the bridge and demand relief you will be speaking for hundreds of thousands of people I think? I’m from Australia. Whatever the case in numbers many many people need relief and you’ll be speaking for them too. It’s got to be heard by people. Non violently. Good luck and good management. Will be following with interest.
