US President Joe Biden’s move to give Ukraine the go ahead to use ATACMS missiles against Russian population centres. These missiles have been supplied by Washington. This is the latest in a line of stupid moves that has ended in the stupidest one yet. It risks escalation of conflict that threatens World War Three.

This is no exaggeration. The eruption of global conflict will bring us closer than ever to the use of nuclear weapons. Consider this. ATACMS missiles attacking major population centres will provoke a similar attack on Ukraine from Russia. This would bring about large-scale attacks on NATO facilities across Europe from far superior Russian military capacity.

Nations will line up. The United States can only count on handful of satellites and parts of Europe. they will face off Russia, China, and most of the rest of the world. The United States will find itself compelled to accept a strategic defeat or turn to the nuclear option. This will cause a counter response. It could lead to the killing of billions and the end of human civilisation and immense destruction on the planet. Preventing this is today’s priority for humanity.

Biden has handed the deadly helping hand to dictator Zelensky. A man and regime desperate to save themselves from imminent defeat by any means. Zelensky has cancelled elections. He has outlawed political parties. Those he thinks is a threat to him have been imprisoned. He has systematically been getting rid of his own ministers and generals. They understand the reality. Zelensky and his minders know that most Ukrainians don’t want to continue the war.

Ukraine’s military casualties are up to 700,000 dead soldiers and many more wounded. Dwindling weapons capability, millions displaced people, and refugee exodus are a reality. Solders are deserting. Meanwhile, Russia slowly squeezes, carefully advances in a way that minimises its own losses. The focus of attack is on military and infrastructure targets instead of civilian populations. The electricity generation and delivery system has been almost destroyed. Only 2 out of 9 power generating stations are operational. Ukraine faces a bitterly cold winter. Up to 40,000 Ukraine solders are trapped in the Kursk region inside Russia.

These are the reasons why Biden has made his latest stupid move. Washington knows that it and its surrogate regime have lost the battle on the ground. Instead of reconciling with this, there is a desperation to find the magic bullet that will reverse the loss. Zelenski and his people are forbidden to accept any peace proposal. Instead, they are given new weapons to escalate war.

ATACMS Strikes have already begun, although they have not been aimed at Russian population centres yet.

Russia has said that a nation supplying weapons to be used on Russian territory will be an act of war. It will meet a swift response. This applies to both the United States and European NATO countries. The Russians have made it clear that they will not tolerate such an attack on the nation’s sovereignty. NATO will also be treated as an aggressor.

How would the United States react if another nation sent missiles into its own population centres?

Although tagged in the west as a Russian invasion, this neglects the true story. Conflict begun with the west engineering destabilisation and destruction of Ukraine’s government. This led to the west brokered coup of 2014, and the subsequent pretend election. Opponents were not permitted to stand. Meanwhile, the large Russian speaking population were systematically attacked to drive them out of the country.

This continued with the rise of Zelensky, who had campaigned as the peace and anti-corruption candidate. He said he opposed Ukraine being used as a base to line and aim NATO weapons against Russia. He changed his position after being elected President.

Russia’s assertion that military action into Ukraine is defensive has merit.

The only way to avert an unmanageable catastrophe is a ceasefire that bring lasting peace. The only way to bring this about is to recognise the reality on the battlefield. Russia has won. The Russian speaking regions can no longer be part of Ukraine. They can’t be taken back. Ukraine will not become a NATO base. Zelensky and his regime must go. A truly independent Ukraine must rise.

The alternative is military escalation that risks a world war.
