Benyamin Netanyahu has enthusiastically endorsed Donald Trump’s so-called Gaza Pace Plan. Why wouldn’t he? After all it gives him everything the Prime Ministers of Israel and the Zionist project everything they want. The people of Gaza get the promise of permanent subjugation. The threat of obliteration if the deal is not accepted is old style gunboat diplomacy. Trumps’ Plan is thinly disguised colonialism.

Here are the important details. A temporary Board of Peace will be established headed by himself, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, and no doubt other well-known friends of Israel. Some handpicked Palestinians may be included. A temporary international stabilisation force will be sent into Gaza to verse security, and it seems this will be the Israeli Defence Force. A program to “deradicalized” Gaza will be put in place. This is a propaganda drive to show the people of Gaza that they must accept permanent occupation.

The United States will be locked in as ongoing intermediary. Foreign investors will be encouraged to buy up Gaza. Israel will train a police force to keep its law and order in Gaza. Gaza’s economy and social services will be under the control of the new form occupation force.

Hamas and a range of other Palestinian organisations will not be permitted to have any role in the future administration. Only those approved will be able to serve it. Gazan’s will not be allowed to vote for representatives of their choosing.

In return, Gazan’s will be offered a ceasefire and allowed to have food and medicines.

Trump gloats that it will meet Netanyahu’s demands, and Trump has already declared his own wish to exploit Gaza for personal gain. He wants to sit t the head of the body that is to deliver this to him. This corruption at an extraordinary level.

This is the gist of Trump’s plan, and it is unlikely to be welcomed in Gaza. The battle for sovereignty and a Palestinian state will continue.

Palestinians don’t have to like it. The plan uses language that effectively demands a Palestinian surrender in a framework designed to pull away global support for a Palestinian state and sow confusion among the pro-Palestinian global movement. It aims to dislocate global opinion and bury the fact that more than 150 states, which is three quarters plus of all the nations of Earth.

Justice demands the burying of Trump’s plan. Helping this is that Trump now has little credibility anywhere and isn’t trusted to deliver anything. These sow doubt from the beginning. Unfortunately, though, this is not all about Trump. There are powerful forces behind him driving the subjugation of the Palestinian population to pursue their geopolitical ambition. This is to take control of the region and pivot east. They are the power behind Netanyahu as well.

Gaza is ultimately connected to the ambition of United States imperialism for global supremacy. Israel is maintained and used as a client state to do the dirty work. This is what the world must contend with. Supporting Palestine includes support for a new world order that treats nations as equals and promotes the rights of peoples to have control over their own future.
