  1. this government had better not allow our great artesian basin that’s the only good water we have

  2. To mine this will destroy this area forever and will turn future generations heritage into the biggest desert 🌵 in the world 🌎. Stop foreign exploitation of our country now, food is more important then a few people getting rich while millions will go hungry 😋 There is no bigger fool then a greedy rich one

  3. There is one fantastic word that needs to be brought back into our language. It is an old word, but very very appropriate to government and politicians today. The word is:

    KAKISTOCRACY
Look the word up, you will be amazed.

CSG and Fracking should be BANNED all over the world. It contaminates the water, the land and it causes EARTHQUAKES. We MUST let all of our political parties know that WE THE PEOPLE are totally against CSG and Fracking.

  5. Stop the rotten politicians from destruction

  6. This ancient inland sea is our greatest water resource. Food production and human survival in this dry dry land should not be jeopardised by politicians who come and go. If you frack anywhere in the basin you polute the whole basin. Wake up sheeples or maybe look across the ditch where the elected government has the people’s interests at heart and not foreign multinationals.

  7. This will become a part of Australian history. If they go ahead with fracking they are killing the NT and other parts of Australia. Borrollas water is now contaminated and is undrinkable and you are told not to eat the fish because of lead.
This has not made news headlines. But I did read about how a majority of NT residents don’t vote. You need to be enrolled to vote for your vote to count in a referendum. People sign up to vote!! Move to the NT become a resident until we can stop this fracking.
Plenty of work in the NT. It’s a backpacker money making heaven.
Don’t forget they are pushing people out of communities for work and schooling if not closing them down. See their big plan now and know you can’t eat the quick buck they want to make.

This is the garbage the government does:

Those four firms won about $420.3 million in government work in the 2015-16 financial year, according to Fairfax Media, with KPMG handed 447 contracts worth $158.9 million in total.

The increased spending on consultants coincides with large political donations from those firms to the major parties.

Australia is being run by a kleptocracy and a corporatocracy.

  9. What would happen if we all went on strike. What would happen if no body went to work until the government agreed NOT to go ahead with fracking. To lose a week or twos wages would be nothing compared to losing our clean water. Maybe they should get a taste of what it will be like to govern dead towns.
We can live without gas but we can not live without water.

  10. A kakistocracy is a system of government which is run by the worst, least qualified, or most unscrupulous citizens. The word was coined as early as the seventeenth century. Wikipedia

  11. The NLP has betrayed farmers for a long period of time.
Their refusal to properly knowledge climate change and to protect protect water sources in this country is an absolute disgrace

  12. So what happens now. Politicians and developers think about money and greed and do not give a f…k about us.They have to be held accountable for there wrong doings but HOW do we(the tax paying underdog) do anything to inforce !!!!

  13. Read The Bradfield Scheme and wonder why it has not been implemented. It’s a Queensland plan but it’s extension to the NT and WA is logical and reasonable.

  14. CSG and Fracking must be banned all over the world. It is a practice that contaminates the water, the land and it causes earthquakes. We must tell all of leaders and political parties that CSG and Fracking must be stopped

  15. Most of Australia’s onshore oil has occured naturally in this basin. The Jackson, Moonie, Roma and Surat oil reserves were tapped from the early 1900’s and are within the same sandstone formations that provide water. The oil and gas are there naturally.

  16. Fracking fracked streams and soil in the US and here at Gloucester NSW….
    SO NO More !
