What this video shows is of importance, and not only to African Americans in the United states. It has global significance for two reasons. The first is that when people get together, go past merely calling on a government to provide for an urgent need and provide it for themselves, they have a bigger impact. The other is that governments fear this more than anything else and will demonise, accuse and brutally attack the perceived threat. This is what happened to the Black Panthers. at the time, they were not able to survive the campaign waged against them by the American government. But the work they carried out has left a legacy that will not die.
